Czech Genealogy

It is sometimes hard to read documents from your Czech ancestors.
You can download a PDF copy of this list of commonly used words

The list includes months, first name conversions, common terms like
birth, death, married, mother, father, son, daughter, etc.

Hopefully they will help with your research.

Do you have questions about your Czech heritage?
Part of your heritage is tracing ones roots. The Czech Heritage Club helps
to provide information on how and where to trace your ancestors.
The area we are most familiar are the Czechs in southern Minnesota. If you have a question
you can contact one of our members via email - George Mikiska - and he will try to help
point you in the right direction to continue your research.
